Woodley Home LLC was officially established in 2019 as a licensed-exempt home daycare in Lebanon, NH. Owned and operated enthusiastically by Miss Chelsea, who has been assisting babies and kiddos grow since 1997.
The story begins in 1997, with her first babysitting gig. The kids were already in bed and the job was less babysitting more security guard. The parents came home and compensated her with a M&M McFlurry.
After that, caring for children became a unintentional constant in her life. She filled in her gaps of free time with weekend babysitting during high school. The summer before college she ran a summer camp and hosted birthday parties at a pottery painting shop.
During college she became a teacher assistant at a Montessori daycare/preschool and often babysat on the weekends for families from the daycare. She worked as a camp counselor during her college summers.
After graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, she continued to work at the Montessori school full time while taking Art and Education classes.
She got married, had a baby, babysat with said baby in tow, moved to NH, had another baby, and continued to babysit part-time.
Part-time led to full-time and as she looked back on her life she realized her childcare resume was strong, she loved doing it, she was good at it, and she was going to stop trying to “figure out what to do with her life” and start doing what she had always done.
She helped more and more local families raise their babies, birthed twins of her own, and finally decided to make it an official career choice by starting Woodley Home.
In her free moments she is a maker and creates many things for her store MADE by Woodley Home . She is also a member of the Lebanon Art & Crafts Association and participates in their annual Christmas store.
